Holiday AdornAments
Through the years Mignon has executed numerous commissions for schools, museums, and philanthropic organizations. Since 1993 she has produced wearable ornaments, called AdornAments, many of which have benefited the Preservation Resource Center (PRC). The first design was an architectural detail from the Gallier House, and the organization received a percentage of the proceeds. The AdornAment series has continued each year. The majority of these designs celebrate well-known examples of the city's historic architecture. For example, the New Canal Light House was designed in 2007 to benefit the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation. In recent years, the Fleur de Lis and Sno Ball designs have also joined the collection.
