Gallier Hall Adornament #23
The City of New Orleans will celebrate the 300th Anniversary of its founding in 2018. The full restoration and preservation of historic Gallier Hall is proposed as the legacy project for our Tricentennial.
This impressive Greek Revival building was the inspiration of James Gallier Sr. Erected between 1845 and 1853, it served as City Hall for just over a century.
The building is constructed of Tuckahoe marble and features two rows of fluted Ionic columns.
